Start on route 17, west, get off at exit 105B, go to the 1st traffic light and turn left onto Anawana Lake Road (county road 103). Go past Anawana Lake and bear right to county road 104 into Hurleyville and Sullivan County Museum, Art and Cultural Center.
Continue on county road 104 throught the traffic light. Pass Lochmor Golf Course on your right, Morningside Park, the Sullivan County College entrance are on your left and make a left at the light in Loch Sheldrake. Drive past Loch Sheldrake Lake and turn right on Divine Corners Road. At route 55, make a right and go east around the Neversink reservoir, go to the Chestnut Creek Covered Bridge, proceed on route 55 to Grahamsville and its historic district.
Go back on 55 heading west, turn right onto county road 19 to the Halls Mills Covered Bridge. Then go west on town road 39 to Willowemoc, pick up town road 53 and make a left, travel on town road 18 to the covered bridge. Go back to town road 53 and follow it into DeBruce. (If you detour north on town road 40, you reach the State Fish Hatchery and Mongaup Pond)
Take DeBruce Road to county road 179 and turn right to the Livingston Manor Covered Bridge. Go back on county road 179 for 1/4 mile and turn right on county road 151, pass Waneta Lake and turn left on town road 29 to the Beaverkill Covered Bridge.
Take county road 151 to county road 179, make a right and go 1/2 mile to the Catskill Fly Fishing Center Museum.
Turn left onto county road 179 and go to the hamlet of Roscoe, which has the Junction Pool and the caboose of the Ontario and Western Railway Museum.
After this tour, you can reach route 17 again directly from Roscoe.
